About Allie (Alexandra) Thrall

Alexandra (Allie) Thrall is a doctoral researcher in Baylor University’s Department of Curriculum & Instruction. Her research focuses on investigating and imagining the sociotechnical arrangements that threaten or support justice-oriented literacy and social studies education. As such, she is engaged in ongoing school-based research that demonstrates the possibilities that emerge when students engage in inquiries into the interplay between our technological systems and our civic lives.
Formerly, Allie taught 4th-12th grades and served as a school administrator. Allie has an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in Global Studies and Spanish Literature from Lehigh University.
