Caitlin Gainsborg

Caitlin is a senior at Temple studying Broadcasting, Telecommunication and Mass Media.  She chose to join the Media Education Lab team after taking a class entitled, Mass Media and Children, which was taught by Renee Hobbs.  Caitlin is excited to learn more about media literacy education through the work that she will be doing at the Lab.  Caitlin believes that it is important to not only be a consumer of media, but an "active" consumer as well.  With the media environment such as it is today, she believes that kids not only need to be able to take in what they are seeing, hearing, etc., but to understand and critically assess it as well.  Caitlin hopes that this internship will prove to be as valuable a learning experience as it is a tool to help her future career path.
