Cornelia Trahan is a Ph.D. student in the doctoral program offered jointly by the University of Rhode Island (URI) and Rhode Island College (RIC). Before enrolling in the program, she worked extensively in promotion and development in the nonprofit and corporate sectors in the New England area. In 2018, she completed her Master of Education, Adult Education, at the University of Rhode Island, Providence campus. She presented at the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) Conference in Newport, Rhode Island and was awarded the ACHE Graduate Student Conference Grant.

Michael A. Spikes, Ph.D. is a lecturer and director of Teach for Chicago Journalism in the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University. He is a practitioner and scholar in the field of media literacy and news media literacy education. He has trained educators globally, and played key roles in implementing a first-in-the nation requirement for media literacy education in Illinois high schools. 

Devina Sarwatay researches young people and digital cultures. She is Presidential Fellow at City, University of London. Her PhD, supervised by Prof. Usha Raman, University of Hyderabad, was awarded (no corrections) in 2023.

Grace Y. Choi (Ph.D., University of Missouri) is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Department, focusing on social media at Columbia College Chicago. Her research and teaching interests include social media, digital literacy education, creativity, media effects, STEM/STEAM, and media psychology.
