Rongwei Tang is a second-year doctoral student at the Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Prior to HSJMC, Rongwei received her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Fudan University (2020) and earned her Master of Arts in Anthropology and Education from Columbia University (2022). She is interested in media literacy, misinformation, and health communication. Her current research explores how to debunk misinformation and investigate strategies to help people improve their media literacy. 

Jenny Sullivan is a senior at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in history with an anthropology minor. She aspires to obtain her masters in education, whether that be for history or teaching English as a second language. Her work and future plans are most inspired by social justice, the decolonization of education, and the encouragement of empathy and equality. She is a passionate advocate for the adage “knowledge is power,” and she believes that power should be accessible to all.

Tessa Mediano is a student in the Masters of Library and Information Studies program at the University of Rhode Island. She has previously worked in diverse fields such as international education, historical tourism, and public and university libraries. Her areas of interest are media literacy, intellectual freedom, and privacy. She is a Research Assistant for the Media Literacy Rhode Island Report Card.
