Presentors
Florian Feucht, Ph.D., is an educational psychologist and founder of Thinking Habitats. He leads the development of THINKING PRO, a research-based curriculum unit that builds students’ critical thinking and reading comprehension through authentic news media. A former special-education teacher and tenured professor, he now supports teachers in bringing THINKING PRO into social studies, ELA, and multilingual-learner classrooms.
Regina Rotshtein, Ph.D., is a curriculum developer and researcher at Thinking Habitats. She holds a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology with research interests in critical thinking and media literacy. She has extensive experience in R&D of educational interventions and technologies funded by different federal grant agencies.
Shelley Garland, M.A.Ed., is a former classroom teacher with experience in ELA, Social Studies, and Special Education. She later became an instructional coach and disciplinary literacy specialist, working with K–12 teachers across subjects to strengthen teacher instruction and student learning. Currently, she is the Lead Curriculum Coach for Thinking Habitats, partnering with schools to bring the THINKING PRO Curriculum Unit to life.
